Jesse and I have said all summer long that we can't wait to get back into our normal routine, but I'm starting to doubt that normal exists for us anymore. He was gone from May-July which made for some pretty rough weeks for me and Callum. My goal each day was to survive (I'm sure you can understand)!
Since he's been home, we've eaten out a lot, traveled a lot, and tried to enjoy what's left of our summer. See what I mean . . . lack of normalcy in the Hinojoza household!
Last week we visited my family in NC but first we made our way to the Fredericksburg Agricultural Fair, which is recognized as the oldest fair in the U.S. How can you say no to that?!?!?!?!
We managed to get the laundry washed, bags packed, dogs boarded, truck loaded, house cleaned (am I the only one who HATES coming home to a dirty house???), and toddler buckled for our bright and early start Thursday morning : )
It's always nice to go home . . . my family lives in the country, and there is never a shortage of good friends and good food at their house. We spent most of the weekend swimming in their pool or playing outside.
Jesse and I loaded up the truck again Friday morning and made the journey back home to VA . . . that clean house gave me something to look forward to : ) It's never easy to say goodbye to family, and I miss them already. I am so grateful for their unconditional love and support for me and my own little family! Hopefully we'll get back down there soon . . .
This week is all about getting back into our daily routines . . . waking up early (actually that's a new one for me), going to the gym, cooking dinner every night, getting Callum ready for preschool, etc.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot . . . Weecycled Wardrobe is this weekend (you can click HERE to read my post all about consignment shopping this fall) and you know how I feel about that . . .
