Our doggies are named Max and Tucker, and they rarely get mentioned on the blog. So why not show them a little love today?!?!?!
Max had a doggie brother before he came to live with us so we always wondered if he was lonely at our house. We talked about getting a puppy for a few months, but Tucker joined our family in a very unexpected way.
I can hear Jesse now . . . "I was just trying to buy some golf balls. Those ended up being the most expensive golf balls ever!" Dick's was located right next to Petsmart, and they were having a pet adoption event. Jesse stopped to look at the pets before he went in to buy golf balls (it's really his own fault). He came home and Max went nuts smelling all the other dogs on Jesse's clothes. Jesse proceeded to tell me about this "awesome" (his exact words) dog that was up for adoption.
The next day we drove to Petsmart with Max in the pouring rain to see if this "awesome" dog was still in need of a home. The dog's name was Brownie and he was pretty cute. He was still a puppy, but he was so laid-back and chill. His calm nature sealed the deal for me, and Max seemed to be OK with him . . . so we adopted Brownie . . . and quickly changed his name to Tucker!
Tucker proved to be anything but laid-back and chill. He was our wild child up until Callum was born. Now, he and Callum are partners in crime and other wild happenings around the Hinojoza household!
And just in case you were scratching your head . . . Tucker was so chill when we adopted him because he was hopped up on paid meds after his "snip-snip" surgery. They played the ultimate prank on us! Oh well, we get the last laugh because he is a very loving, loyal, and protective dog : ) But don't tell Tucker I called him a dog because I'm convinced he thinks he's a human.
AND WE LOVE IT ALL!!!
Happy weekend folks . . . see you back here real soon.
